Ross Dale has been writing and producing television for over ten years. Born in New York City, he is a graduate of The Groton School and received a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University. After college, Dale began his career in Jackson Hole, WY, where he spent a year at their NBC affiliate, KJWY. “It was like taking a class in television production where the teacher never showed up.” While dabbling in news and sports, he also managed to create and produce JTV, a half-hour local interest newsmagazine.

After settling in Los Angeles in 1997, Dale began a three year stint making documentaries for The E! True Hollywood Story. His incisive, in-depth storytelling provided the foundation for revealing biographies of a wide variety of complex cultural icons, including Marlon Brando, Claus von Bulow, Larry Flynt, Rod Serling, Burt Reynolds and Alfred Hitchcock.

In 2000 Dale took a job at Sexcetera, Playboy TV’s long running erotic newsmagazine where, for the next five years, he worked as a segment producer, on-camera host, and ultimately as the showrunner for the final two seasons. Credited on 68 of the show’s 80 episodes, Dale wrote and produced over 100 stories that sent him all over America as well as to ten foreign countries on four different continents.

In 2006 Dale created a new reality series for Playboy TV called Naked Happy Girls, which he wrote and produced on location in New York City. After a wildly successful 13 episode run, Dale served as the creative consultant for the second season shot in San Francisco.

During his six years with The Bunny, Dale was fascinated by what he saw, awakened by what he heard, and confused by what he did. Many of these experiences are recounted in his highly anticipated memoir novel Embedded: Confessions of a TV Sex Journalist (Sourcebooks, June 2008).

In 2007 Dale returned to E! Entertainment Television. He was the Executive Producer of the hit specials 12 Sexiest Vegas Jobs and 12 Sexiest Wet ‘N Wild Jobs.

Dale lives in Hollywood, CA. He is not a pornographer.
